GST, implemented on 1st July, is one of the most significant reforms after Independence. Reducing tax exemptions is one of the underlying principles of GST. The Government has always strived to boost the Renewable Sector. To boost the sector, various exemptions have been provided by both Central as well as State Government for setting up, operation as well as maintenance of Renewable energy sector.
Under the GST regime it is expected that the exemptions/ concessions prescribed under various current indirect tax laws would be pruned further and will bring in greater transparency and, which is very much needed in the Energy sector.
On this back drop, PHD Chamber is organising a Conference on “GST in Renewable Energy – Decoding Myths & Reality” on 4th August, 2017, 09:30 am at PHD House, New Delhi.
The conference will bring together leading policy makers, Tax experts, Industry captains, Investors, Thought Leaders, Financial Institutions, start ups and other stakeholders to deliberate on impact of GST on Renewable energy Sector.
